Why the Highlight?

Wedding videos have changed a lot in the last few years. And while change isn't always better, I believe the change in wedding videography has resulted in a huge benefit for the couples getting married.

So what has changed? The main selling point of a videography package is no longer a documentary film, it is now a highlight film. A highlight film is much shorter, moves through the day faster, includes the best moments of the day, and is much more entertaining.

A highlight film should accomplish this:

- Tell the story of the wedding day

- Tell the story of the couple in such a way that anyone watching will feel like they know them

- Integrate the best audio and visual parts of moments throughout the day

- Be entertaining from beginning to end

- Give you a cinematic version of your wedding that you can watch as many times as you wish

While most people think they would love to see every part of the wedding, from the couples’ first kiss to Uncle Joe bringing up that embarrassing memory in an unplanned speech, if we are being honest…we will never really end up sitting through a 5 hour long video of the whole day again. It just won’t be the same!

We can’t promise to give you a cinematic film of your wedding day that will give you that exact same intense, exciting, and real feeling that you had on your wedding day. However, our goal is to bring you close to those feelings. Our goal is to bring you back to the memories you had on that day that you might have forgotten. Our goal is to allow you to watch your highlight film without ever feeling an urge to skip to the end because you don’t want to miss a second. Our goal is for you to love watching your wedding over and over again, and for others to enjoy it with you and feel the impact of your story touch their own lives. We hope that this film is something you pull out on your first argument and rewatch to remind each other of how much love you know you have—not that it needs to be found, but that it is already there and you are going to stick it out with this person you love even through the rough patches. That’s what we’re all about. We are about creating these timeless highlight films (which we believe to be the best form of wedding documentation right next to photography) for timeless couples who will cherish this memorable film of their story with them forever.
